I surround myself in design, whether its my favourite chair, the egg chair by Arne Jacobsen, or any piece by my hero Philippe Starck. I am obsessed with keeping up with the current trends and will often be found reading design magazines like Living etc, Wallpaper and Grand Designs well into the small hours.
When I am not in design thinking mode I like to exercise on my mountain and road bikes. I have loved 2 wheels from a young age, that is where the name Yellow Jersey came from.
I knew from a young age that I wanted to do design. I left London College of Printing with an HND in typography and went headlong into a career in design. First learning the intricacies of photo-manipulation and printing. I then moved between large corporates and small independent studios. I developed a first-rate understanding of the complete design process from initial concept to a quality finished product. All those years of experience helped me build my ‘Four Point Quality Check’ process that every member of my team uses, each job goes through the same rigourous process to ensure every client gets a perfect job.
I didn’t stop there though, for years when working with new clients, I designed or redesigned their logo and branding. I looked into how I can give them the best start in business by researching their competitors and how they can be better. I nicknamed this my ‘Brand Diagnostics’ and this is given to all clients that sign up for the ‘Ultimate Logo and Brand Design’ package.
